ESSENCE Festival of Culture  

This year, Essence Fest returns for its 31st year from July 3-6, 2025, with the theme We Are “Made Like This.” The lineup includes Boyz II Men, Davido, Maxwell, Master P, GloRilla, The Isley Brothers, Nas, and Summer Walker. Jermaine Dupri will perform a tribute to legendary producer Quincy Jones. Additionally, Babyface, Erykah Badu, Doug E. Fresh, Jill Scott & Friends, Patti LaBelle, Jazmine Sullivan, Muni Long, Keri Hilson, Buju Banton, The Isley Brothers, and Donell Jones will perform, plus you won't want to miss Master P’s Final Show, and the return of the Superlounge. Tipitina’s Free Fridays summer concert series is back and better than ever. On Fridays through August 29, enjoy free concerts at Tipitina’s from a rotating list of local performers. This July, enjoy Soul Brass Band + Vega Cola (July 4), Erica Falls + Ghalia Volt (July 11), Flow Tribe + LeTrainiump (July 18), and The Quickening + Paris Avenue (July 25).  

Taste of Africa Fest 

Taste of Africa Fest is an annual cultural celebration held in the heart of New Orleans, dedicated to showcasing the rich diversity, beauty, and vibrancy of African culture and its global influence. Enjoy performances from Kodjo, Majek Fingers, and more at the Broadside on Saturday, July 19. Tickets are $31.37. 

Counting Crows: The Complete Sweets! Tour with special guest The Gaslight Anthem
