Summertime in New Orleans is all about staying cool, and seeing live music is a great way to do that. Enjoy indoor concerts and festivals throughout the month of July featuring both local and nationally recognized artists. Check out our top picks for live music this July in New Orleans below.
Presented by Crystal Hot Sauce, Tipitina’s Free Fridays summer concert series is back and better than ever. On Fridays from May 27 to September 3, enjoy free concerts from a rotating list of local performers, including Stooges Brass Band, Honey Island Swamp Band, Brass-A-Holics, The Funky Uncle All-Stars, and Water Seed for the month of July.
The Thursdays at Twilight summer concert series is a great way to enjoy City Park in the middle of the week. The concerts take place indoors and will feature James Rivers Movement, Harvey Jesus and Fire, Tim Laughlin, and Lena Prima for the month of July. Admission is $15.
Throughout the month of July, enjoy the summertime Jazz & Heritage Concert series on Saturdays at 8 p.m. Each show features a different local artist: Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue, Arséne DeLay, and Lynn Drury. Tickets are $10 each and proceeds from this series directly support the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.
