Mothers’ Day

Make mom the Queen of New Orleans on Mothers’ Day or any other.

Celebrate mom by bringing her to the country’s liveliest city. New Orleans is the perfect destination for food, music and the celebration of family. Whether she enjoys a picnic beneath the ancient Live Oaks in City Park or a white-tablecloth brunch at one of the city’s many fine restaurants, a Mothers’ Day in New Orleans is guaranteed to be a memorable one.

Rebecca Todd
The Roosevelt Hotel- Spa

New Orleans has plenty of day spas; treat mom to some pampering with a facial or massage. Some spas even offer special package deals. Favorite places unwind include Belladonna and Woodhouse, but hotels often have great spas as well.

Another suggestion for a special day includes a trip to the Audubon Zoo Mother's Day concert. Moms of any age are admitted free. There will be great live music and incredible food in the lush surroundings of one of America's top zoos. Local jazz singer extraordinaire Irma Thomas headlines the annual event. The concert is free with Zoo admission.

Paul Broussard
Brennan's Restaurant

Dining out in New Orleans is always a treat. Let your mother indulge on some tasty food and craft cocktails. Brunch is a popular outing in New Orleans, especially on Mother's Day. Make a reservation and show your mom how amazing she is. We recommend Atchafalaya, Brennan's, Vyoone's,  Palm & Pine, Cafe Degas and Saba.

After eating, do some shopping around the city. Magazine Street, Royal Street, Canal Place and the Riverwalk are great spots to snag something special. From clothing and jewelry to art and candles, you'll find a great gift.
