Pet-Friendly Hotels

Many New Orleans hotels welcome four-legged friends

Our furry friends are family, and several New Orleans area hotels welcome pets with open arms. You don’t need to leave Fido or Mittens at home to enjoy a stay fit for both of you. Water bowls, treats, and pet beds are just some of what our hotels have to offer.

Special Pet-Friendly Deals and Offers

Take the Virgin Hotels New Orleans, for example. Pets stay for free with no size or breed restrictions. Virgin Hotels offers "Pet-Menities" including dog beds, food and water dishes, and a Virgin Hotels bandana. Another pet-friendly hotel is Kimpton Hotel Fontenot, which offers a pet package that includes a complimentary beverage for the adult and a welcome gift and take-home treat for Fulffy, plus rooms equipped with bowls and pet beds. Any pet is welcome provided they can fit in the elevator. Or, you could book the Windsor Court Hotel, which offers a “Pampered Pets Program” for your four-legged companions with a plush dog bed, a placemat with a food and water bowl, and an area walking map. The Old No. 77 Hotel offers a once-per-stay $30 pet upgrade with a comfortable pet bed, food and water bowls, a welcome kit full of treats, a toy, and a comprehensive list of local pet resources. Pet psychic, anyone?

Pet-Friendly Restaurants in New Orleans

There are several pet-friendly restaurants in New Orleans where both you and your furry best friend can get a treat. Most breweries and beer gardens welcome pets, as long as you keep them close by. Port Orleans, Urban South, Faubourg, and Miel Brewery are great ones to start with. Craving some fried chicken? Picnic Provisions & Whiskey welcomes pups on their patio. Maybe you’d like something sweet? Enjoy a sno-ball from Chance In Hell, which features a “doggo sno”–shaved ice topped with chicken broth. Many spots with outdoor seating will accommodate animals, just call ahead to check before heading out the door with Fido in tow.

Doggy Daycare in New Orleans

Need to put Fido in doggy daycare for the day? Check out Camp Bow Wow (with locations in both Mid-City and the Irish Channel) for your pet boarding needs. Zeus’ Place also offers daycare and boarding, plus grooming for cats and dogs. Want to find a fun toy for your pet? Check out Petcetera, Southern Paws, and Jefferson Feed.
