The magic and spectacle that is Mardi Gras happens every Carnival season starting Twelfth Night, Jan. 6, and culminating on Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday on the Advent calendar. But you can channel the festivities year round with a visit to one of these Mardi Gras-centric museums and workshops, places where floats are built, Mardi Gras Indians are celebrated and lavish costumes are on perpetual parade.
