New Orleans Named UNESCO Creative City for Music
A Global Honor for America’s Most Musical City
New Orleans has long been recognized as the birthplace of jazz and the heartbeat of American music. Now, the city’s cultural legacy is receiving a new honor: Creative City for Music by UNESCO. This recognition celebrates the people, rhythms, and traditions that have shaped New Orleans’ unmistakable sound. For visitors, it’s yet another reason to experience the music where it began, alive on every street corner and stage.
I’m not sure, but I’m almost positive, that all music came from New Orleans.
