At Hotel Monteleone, a toddler is said to haunt the halls, as well as the spirits of former employees. Haunted Tours

With over 300 years of history, New Orleans is bound to have some spooky stories. Many companies offer tours focused on ghosts, vampires, paranormal activity, and cemetery. There are even tours specially designed for kids, like French Quartour Kids’ ghost hunt. Take a look at the tour offerings here and select which one is right for you.

Supernatural and Haunted Restaurants

Why not go all in and visit a supernatural-themed restaurant? Tatlo is a restaurant for the bewitched and hex-curious located in the back of the Old Absinthe House. Try the Cauldron (fondue cheese) or indulge in the Blood Moon Ritual (vodka, Pimm’s, and blood orange). Stop by the New Orleans Vampire Café for lavish bites, Blood Type specialty cocktails, high tea, and shopping (custom fangs). Two of the oldest restaurants in the city, Muriel’s and Antoine’s, both offer their share of fine dining and haunted history.

Voodoo has been around for centuries, and its origins in New Orleans are synonymous with the city’s founding. The most famous voodoo queen was Marie Laveau (1794-1881), a legendary practitioner buried in St. Louis Cemetery No.1. The New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum is a great stop in the French Quarter to learn about the Voodoo history of New Orleans.
