SPIRITS IN THE PARK ~ MUSIC FESTIVAL
FREE Concert Series Halloween Weekend Oct 30th, 31st, & Nov 1st
“We are excited to introduce what we’ve learned over the years from the legendary Mortuary Haunted Mansion. This month-long event will start with the Opening of the Sawmill Haunted House and ending with Three Days and five bands on Halloween weekend,” stated Jeff Borne.
Three Days. Six Bands. One Legendary Haunted House. This Halloween weekend, The SPIRITS IN THE PARK Fall Music Festival & Halloween Experience takes over the Great Lawn with a FREE concert series featuring on Friday October 30th starting at 6pm, The Class of ‘98 Band and Kings of Neon Glow Band. Then Saturday October 31st starting at 3pm, Beaucoup Boogie, The Boogiemen, and The Bucktown All-Stars. And on Sunday November 1st at 5pm, Paper Chase… plus DJs, food trucks, vendors, and cold drinks. Then, when the music ends, step inside The Sawmill Haunted House and face the terrifying legend of Widow’s Landing.

FAMILY FESTIVAL AREA & KIDS ZONE

This family-friendly Halloween Festival Kids Zone is designed as a safe, high-energy, and magical autumn wonderland. Come in costume! Kids can Trick or Treat amongst the Market Booths Halloween afternoon. The area is filled with colorful decorations, entertainment, STEM Robotics showcase, themed inflatables, and pumpkin painting, ensuring a festive but completely scare-free experience for children of all ages.
THE SAWMILL HAUNTED HOUSE:
They say the dead don’t stay buried in Widow’s Landing. The Lighthouse was meant to guide the boats through the fog. Instead, it became a warning. Some say the light does not shine to lead travelers home, but to call them closer. And, in the deep, dark heart of it all is THE SAWMILL.
Based on the dark folklore, forgotten history, and supernatural legends of Louisiana’s Northshore. Drawing inspiration from ghost ships, river pirates, haunted lighthouses, restless cemeteries, ancient gods, feral vampires, and the terrible things that wait beneath the black waters of the Tchefuncte, we explore a town where the fog has a mind of its own and the dead no longer stay buried. Enter the fog. Follow the light. Discover the horrifying truth behind the legend of Widow’s Landing. From the twisted minds at The Mortuary Haunted Mansion!
