Offering a French Quarter escape from the New Orleans heat with indoor festivities

WHAT: Omni Royal Orleans is welcoming May with a lineup of food, cocktails and live music experiences in the heart of the French Quarter, including a special Mother’s Day brunch at Rib Room, live performances at Three Maries Jazz Club and the recently launched Happy Hour at The Royal Bar.

Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 10, will feature seasonal and staple dishes, including the Rib Room’s signature 28-Day Prime Rib with rosemary-tellicherry crust, Worcestershire jus and Yorkshire pudding; Grillades & Grits with braised prime rib and poached eggs; Avocado Florentine; Seared Blackened Redfish with crawfish cream sauce; and Lobster Thermidor with creamy béchamel and Gruyère cheese and a Compressed Watermelon and Pork Belly Salad with mint, basil, arugula, pickled vegetables and citrus vinaigrette. Guests can also enjoy starters including Crispy Oysters with Creole cream cheese and black garlic molasses glaze, plus brunch cocktails and desserts in the iconic dining room, recently refreshed with decor.

In addition to brunch, Rib Room will also offer a special Mother’s Day dinner service on Sunday evening, featuring a continuation of its signature classics and seasonal specials in an elevated evening setting.

Throughout May, Three Maries Jazz Club continues its lineup of live performances from celebrated New Orleans musicians in an intimate French Quarter setting. Performers include Anaïs St. John, Glen David Andrews Band, Leroy Jones, Cecil Edwards’ Gumbo Funk, Joe Lastie’s New Orleans Sounds, Kyle Sharamitaro and Rob Espino Duo.

Guests and locals alike can also enjoy Happy Hour at The Royal Bar, available from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. The new afternoon offering features a $10 cocktail of the day, $8 highballs, $8 wines and $6 beers, alongside $3 New Orleans-inspired bites including fried green tomatoes, crispy oysters, deviled eggs, jambalaya arancini and grilled andouille.

The programming is part of Omni Royal Orleans’ continued expansion of dining and nightlife offerings, following the recent refresh of Rib Room and debut of Three Maries Jazz Club.
