Google Year In Search Result Showcases Crescent City as Top Destination

New Orleans is recognized as a top holiday destination in 2019 by a number of influential travel and lifestyle publications. Consistent pitching and storytelling of the city’s traditions like Réveillon dinners, bonfires and festive décor are among the many reasons’ media are touting New Orleans as a place to visit this holiday season.

Google also recently unveiled its 2019 Year In Search announcing New Orleans as one of the top ten “trip to” searched destinations by Americans, ranking number seven behind Maldives, Japan, Bora Bora, Las Vegas, Mexico and Alaska. The city’s culinary influence is also evident in the top searched recipes with Popeyes chicken sandwich ranking at number seven and King Cake at number ten.
