WHAT: An event no foodie will want to miss, four acclaimed pastry chefs will create original dessert recipes, all inspired by their grandmothers and infused with Bourbon Street spirit for a uniquely New Orleans event. Guests will enjoy the four-course dessert menu, with optional wine pairings, overlooking New Orleans and the Mississippi River from the roof deck of the National Rice Mill Lofts. Additionally, guests will be welcomed with a boozy popsicle amuse-bouche from Lick Our Pops.
Later in the week, Burke-Samson and Fogg will pop-up once again in a surprise location, serving up sweet treats ranging from $1.50 to $5.
WHO: Justin Burke-Samson, creator of Trademark Tarts and Modern Gramma, has built a loyal following in Boston with his fresh take on his grandmother's classic dessert recipes served in a contemporary pop-up setting.
Jeremy Fogg, pastry chef at Emeril's New Orleans, will serve as host for Burke-Samson's first event in New Orleans. Fogg recently won Louisiana's "Best Pastry Chef 2015" by the American Culinary Federation for Emeril's Banana Coffee Mousse Cake.
Amy Lemon is responsible for the pastries at both Emeril's Delmonico and NOLA in the French Quarter. No stranger to updating classic recipes, Lemon regularly researches New Orleans history and old cookbooks for inspiration.
Eric Perelli is pastry chef Brennan's, one of the most historic, beloved restaurants in New Orleans, most famous for its Bananas Foster.
