The purpose of Hogs for the Cause is to provide aid and relief of those variable expenses and economic burdens which families face while their child is being treated for pediatric brain cancer; and to provide funding to pediatric brain cancer outreach services. Currently, Hogs for The Cause operates as the premier funding source for pediatric brain cancer outreach services in the United States and has given grants to over 400 families in need.

THURSDAY, MARCH 30, 6PM, UNO LAKEFRONT ARENA
HOGWAII LUAU GALA DINNER

The Link Restaurant Group returns to curate the Hogs for the Cause Gala Dinner. This year's theme is Luau! The Best Lei'd Plans in New Orleans. The event begins at 6pm with cocktails from Cure, Cane & Table, and Cafe Henri, and dinner will follow with music, cocktails, and wines from Neat Wines. A silent auction packed with fantastic prizes, and some surprises are in store for attendees. Tickets are $200, and tables are available for $2000 which includes eight seats at the dinner, two Weekend Boss Hog Access passes, and logo on dinner materials.

FRIDAY, MARCH 31, 3:30PM UNTIL 11PM
UNO LAKEFRONT ARENA GROUNDS

The $25 online admission into the main yard allows guests an opportunity to mingle with the pitmasters and teams. For $50, guests receive a general admission ticket and 1 hour early admission with free beer during that hour only. Friday Boss Hog tickets are $160 each and include admission and access to Boss Hog Tent with open bar and private restrooms, as well as private stage viewing, and $45 in Hoggy Dollars. Hogtails, beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Guests will also enjoy food from vendors. While teams are not required to sell BBQ on Friday night, the ‘Que will be abundant.

90 teams of BBQ competitors, comprised of a mix of some of the region's top chefs, professional BBQ teams and backyard cooking fanatics, will compete for the Ben Sarrat, Jr. Cookoff Grand Champion Title. The Grand Champion is chosen from the top teams in the Whole Hog, Ribs, Pork Butt/Shoulder, Porkpourri (anything pork), and Fundraising divisions. There are also awards for Best Sauce, Best Side presented by Blue Plate Mayonnaise, Fundraising Champion, Best Friday Night Party, and the patron's pick for Fan Favorite. Patrons may sample food from every team for donations. Bring your appetite and your favorite fork!

  • Daily general admission tickets are $25 each, in advance.
  • Saturday general admission, plus "Hoggy Hour" tickets are $50 each and include 1-hour early admission with free beer during that hour only.
  • Saturday Boss Hog tickets are $210 each and include admission and access to Boss Hog Tent with open bar and private restrooms, as well as private stage viewing, and $45 in Hoggy Dollars.
  • 2-Day Boss Hog pass is $310 and includes admission on both Friday and Saturday, access to Boss Hog Tent with open bar and private restrooms, as well as private stage viewing.
  • Saturday Food Judge tickets are available for $50 each and include admission, as well as a guarantee of judging a minimum of two food categories in the Cookoff.
