Commons Club at Virgin Hotels New Orleans is expanding its live entertainment programming with weekly live music on Wednesdays and Fridays, offering guests a midweek unwind and a lively start to the weekend inside the hotel’s signature lounge.

Midweek evenings feature Leaux Fye Tribe, bringing neo-soul, R&B, and funk-influenced grooves to Commons Club every Wednesday from 6 PM – 8 PM. Guests can settle in for a relaxed, lounge-forward evening built around great music, conversation, and cocktails.

Guests can also enjoy extended Happy Hour from 4 PM - 7 PM, along with Wine Wednesday, featuring 25% off bottles of wine. Happy Hour offerings include:

On Fridays from 7 PM–9 PM, Commons Club hosts The Friday Set, spotlighting standout vocalists and musicians in an intimate lounge setting. Upcoming performances include Nell Simmons Bradley, who gained national recognition as a finalist on Team John Legend on NBC’s The Voice.

The Commons Club is also launching a new Spring menu, which can be the perfect addition to the evening. With a mix of small plates, larger plates, and sides, there is something for everyone. Highlights include:

    • Citrus Cured Salmon served with marinated fava beans, shaved fennel, cherry tomatoes, and crispy capers

    • Country Ham Croquetas with pimentón aioli and manchego

    • Spaghetti alla Chitarra with Crawfish, asparagus, sofrito, white wine, and a fennel crumb

  • Larger Plates

    • Grilled Shrimp alla Plancha with new potato, chorizo, spring onions, and smoked paprika

    • Red Wine Braised Short Rib served with manchego polenta, toasted brussels sprouts, and apricot

    • Line-Caught Gulf Fish with artichokes, castelvetrano olives, pine nuts, in a brown butter vinaigrette
