(New Orleans, September 19, 2016) Centerplate, one of the world's leading catering companies, today announced that it will offer a multi-sensory, multimedia, culinary and historical jazz dinner theater show to celebrate New Orleans' tricentennial. "Creole, of Course," initially designed for local and visiting groups, provides a lively overview of the Big Easy's history and culture with narration by award-winning author Morgan Molthrop, dancing by the Wild Bamboulas, music by the Shotgun Jazz Band, and cuisine prepared by Centeplate's world-renowned Chef Stephan Blaser.
"‘Creole, of Course' fits with Centerplate's goal of enhancing our local presence in one of our most unique and flavorful markets," said Richard Ginzel, General Manager of Centerplate. "Tens of thousands of guests come to the city annually for conventions and we want to make sure that they get a taste for our food and culture when they are here." Ginzel also noted that the production has engaged and employed hundreds of local artists, scholars, videographers, and entrepreneurs.
The Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center partnered with Centerplate to provide theater space, production and ancillary support. "We are excited to be hosting a comprehensive entertainment extravaganza that puts our city in the spotlight at the Convention Center," said Ginzel.
The show is currently in "pre-production." Press, tourism VIPs, and destination management companies are invited to view a special screening of "Creole, of Course" on November 3, 2016 at 5:00 PM at the New Orleans Theater in the Convention Center. "Creole, of Course" will begin booking groups today for shows in January 2017.
Creative content for "Creole, of Course" was developed by Morgan Molthrop's Barataria Communications Studio. Marketing for cruise ships, corporate, and cultural groups will be done by Custom Conventions. For more information, go to creoleofcourse.com or email email@example.com.
