NOLA by Day: Thursdays in New Orleans

How to Spend a Thursday in New Orleans

A Thursday in New Orleans is never boring. Spice up your weekday with the suggestions below.

Dine and Dance

Interested in rock ‘n’ roll while you bowl? Mid-City Lanes Rock ‘N’ Bowl brings live entertainment featuring funk music, blues, and Zydeco. They also have an open dance floor with plenty of room to grab a drink and dance! Mulates, The Original Cajun Restaurant is known for being the king of Cajun dine and dance halls. Tropical Isle Bayou Club also hosts Cajun dancing while serving delicious Cajun food and live music.

Enjoy some Live Music

Frenchmen Street is full of live music venues; there’s Vaso Bar & Venue, Blue Nile, The Maison, and The Spotted Cat Music Club, plus several others. This is most likely some of the best live music you will hear. Bring some friends out and dance the night away! A quick stroll from Frenchmen Street is  Musical Legends Park, dedicated to New Orleans Musical Culture with statues of famous local musicians.
