Gentilly, Ninth Ward, & New Orleans East History

While the history of these areas dates as far back as the 1700s, perhaps the most significant and captivating stories are told by the recently thriving Vietnamese community in the East that immigrated to New Orleans in the 1970s, the survivors of Hurricane Katrina, and the lifelong residents of the Ninth Ward.
