20 airlines offer flights to 59 non-stop destinations in the United States and seven International destinations, including Canada, The Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, The United Kingdom and Germany.

The $1 billion project includes a handful of new features and efficiencies including in-line baggage screening, a consolidated security checkpoint to three concourses and 35 gates, concessions located down the center of the concourses, a Jazz Garden and two new parking garages and a surface lot for maximum parking needs. The new facility is expected to increase the airport’s economic impact by approximately 20% in the next five years and will support 64,000 jobs and $6.4 billion in local spending.
The new airport will bring a ton of local food, beverage, news, gift and specialty retail options to bring more of New Orleans into the airport for visitors and locals alike to enjoy. Once through security, travelers will have access to all 3 concourses which grants access to all 45 concessions.
The new airport will boast more than 8,000 parking spaces with four different parking options to choose from. A new Short Term Parking Garage will feature 2,190 spaces as well as a walkway directly form the 4th floor to the Ticketing and Check-in area on the third level of the terminal. A Long Term Garage (currently under construction) will feature 2,750 parking spaces and will be located across from the arrivals area on the east side of the new facility. A Surface Parking Lot with 685 parking spaces will offer convenient parking just a short walk with a lower rate. The current airport’s Long Term Garage will become a 2,438-space Economy Garage with an optimized shuttle service to and from the new terminal.
