Hotel Saint Vincent is one of my absolute favorites in the city. There’s a certain irresistible charm and mystique about it that’s hard to match. The on-site restaurant, San Lorenzo, offers a fantastic coastal Italian menu. While the Zucchini Fritti is an insanely addicting dish worth trying, the Linguine Vongole—loaded with manila clams and chili breadcrumbs—has a special place in my heart. Make sure to check out the Chapel Club for a memorable cocktail experience too!

Although I became a frequent flier of their takeout programs during Covid, it had been too long since I’d dined in person at Coquette. A recent visit not only reminded me of why it’s a mainstay on my list of recommendations for anyone coming to town but also put it squarely back in my personal rotation for dinners out. We went full tilt into summer and seafood, ordering both the Heirloom Tomato and Peach Salad and the Summer Crab Salad to start, as well as the Coquette Seafood Platter which featured one of the best smoked-fish dip I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend making a reservation for your next visit–especially if you happen to be in town when they’re doing a No Menu Tuesday or one of their famed champagne and fried chicken dinners.

The Crispy Coq a Vin at plates is divine. Chicken braised with wine, mushrooms, confit potatoes, and red wine jus make for a juicy and tender bite. Yet the coating is crispy and flaky. Scrumptious!
