September 8, 2026 (NEW ORLEANS, La.) -- NOLA Cannabis Company announced today that its flagship dispensary, in the heart of the French Quarter at 433 Bourbon Street, will officially open to the public this week on Wednesday, September 9. Located on one of the most iconic streets in the world, the 16,279 sq. ft., three-story dispensary represents a significant investment in New Orleans and creates a distinctive retail and educational experience for therapeutic cannabis patients.
This marks the latest retail opening for NOLA Cannabis Co., which operates licensed dispensaries across the metropolitan area at 1667 Tchoupitoulas Street in the Lower Garden District, 1407 South Carrollton Avenue in Uptown, on the Westbank at 1544 Manhattan Boulevard, in Kenner at 100 West Airline Highway and at 5055 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie.
Designed to reflect the character and energy of New Orleans, the Bourbon Street flagship combines patient service, cannabis education, local art and interactive experiences across three floors:
-
FIRST FLOOR – Retail and Convenience: Patients entering from Bourbon Street will find product and accessory displays, multiple ordering kiosks, knowledgeable staff and an express pickup area for online orders. The open retail environment is designed to make shopping convenient and approachable for both experienced patients and those who are new to therapeutic cannabis.
-
SECOND FLOOR – Personalized Education: A speakeasy-inspired patient education space provides opportunities for one-on-one assistance and education about therapeutic cannabis products. Patients can also explore a curated flower bar featuring selected strains, educational aroma jars and intentionally paired accessories. Patients who need a therapeutic cannabis recommendation can connect with independent authorized clinicians and complete the process on site.
-
THIRD FLOOR – Cannabis Education and New Orleans Culture: The third-floor gallery features a variety of beautifully designed educational displays, starting with the “virtual budtender” experience wall, focusing on education by category and consumption methods. Guests will then see a self-guided terpene smell bar highlighting top terpenes (featuring a custom stain glass installation fabricated by local artist Fred Weber), and end with a theater experience that speaks to the history of cannabis and Nola Cannabis Co’s story.
“Bourbon Street is one of the most recognizable streets in the world, and we wanted to create a flagship that reflects both the character of New Orleans and the evolution of Louisiana’s therapeutic cannabis program,” said Capt. Lee Jackson, member of NOLA Cannabis Co. “This is much more than a place to purchase a product. We have created three floors devoted to patient service, education and a better understanding of cannabis, all centered around products that are produced here in Louisiana and tested within the state’s regulated therapeutic marijuana program. We are proud of the investment we have made in this city and excited to open the doors.”
Nola Cannabis Co. Bourbon Street’s hours of operation are Sunday - Wednesday (11 am - Midnight) and Thursday - Saturday (11 am - 2 am). All Nola Cannabis Co. stores offer a wide variety of product options including cannabis flower, pre-rolls, infused pre-rolls, gummies, beverages, concentrates and vape pens. Products sold at Nola Cannabis Co. are created from cannabis plants grown exclusively in Louisiana and are subject to the testing, tracking, labeling and other requirements of Louisiana’s regulated therapeutic marijuana program.
“Our goal is to make therapeutic cannabis more approachable, better understood and more accepted while maintaining the safety and regulatory standards that distinguish Louisiana’s program,” said Jackson. “Patients should be able to understand where their products come from, how they were produced and what they are purchasing. At Nola Cannabis Co., customers can feel confident in choosing a reliable, high-quality experience crafted with care and precision in a regulated dispensary environment.”
Accessing Louisiana’s Therapeutic Marijuana Program
Louisiana law permits authorized clinicians to recommend therapeutic marijuana when the clinician determines that therapeutic marijuana may be helpful for a patient’s medical condition or associated symptoms.
Any patient who does not already have a recommendation can find information at www.NolaCannabisCo.com about the recommendation process and independent authorized clinicians, including Good Canna Now, which offers convenient telehealth consultations at no cost to the patient.
Once a valid recommendation has been transmitted to the patient’s selected Louisiana therapeutic marijuana retailer, the patient may purchase products through the state’s regulated program.
Qualified patients can shop in person or place orders online for pickup or delivery.
The Bourbon Street flagship was designed to be more than a traditional retail location. Through its architecture, educational installations, interactive experiences and incorporation of local art, NOLA Cannabis Co. seeks to create an environment that is distinctly New Orleans while providing patients with meaningful information about therapeutic cannabis.
