Evie Bories

An Italian food diary that turned into a full-blown New Orleans blog!

There are many cuisines and dishes that Evie Bories enjoys eating and capturing, but none come close to that of her hometown: New Orleans!

Born and raised in the Crescent City, she says she loves it like a best friend. So there’s no wonder she’s always exploring the city looking for the next best meal, cocktail, or activity.

Evie says she’s all about food and has been since she can remember. What began as a food diary for her Italian escapade back in 2014 has blossomed into a full-blown blog highlighting the best of New Orleans eats and drinks.

She’s constantly looking for new places to discover and give her followers the inside scoop about her favorite city.

Q&A

What is your geaux-to stop for dinner and drinks in the city?

Taqueria Corona- can’t resist those tacos with a good margarita!

The best month to visit New Orleans? Why?

October! The weather is finally cooling down and getting nice. Also, it’s more of a time for locals to enjoy the city as opposed to when it’s Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest when the city gets more crowded.

What are your top 5 must-do's for a first-time visitor to New Orleans?

  • French Quarter and I say it’s best to go during the day! While you are there, make sure to stop for a hurricane at Pat O's.
  • Popping into shops and galleries along on magazine street.
  • Frenchman street for music and dancing.
  • Streetcar and take it downtown or ride it to camellia grill.
  • Get a po'boy at Parkway Bakery and order it to go so you can eat it at Bayou St John

What is your favorite off-the-beaten-path place in New Orleans?

Moscas! Go with your favorite people and you gotta do the meal family-style.

Who has the best happy hour in the city?

Catch me at Superior Seafood’s happy hour! I can’t resist those 75 cent oysters!!
