12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. the First Saturday of Each Month (Except July and August)

The Freret Market is held on the first Saturday of the month, except for July and August, at the intersection of Freret Street and Napoleon Avenue. Along with food and flea items, the Freret Market features a nice selection of works from local artists. The market was founded in 2007 as a revitalization project in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and has grown to be a popular event. There's also a festival and a block party every April with live music.
