Quiana Lynell excites audiences around the world with her gospel-tinged, soul-dripping jazz vocals. A Texas native, Lynell earned a music degree at LSU. She played with her trio at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which led to her performing in Poland with trumpeter Terence Blanchard’s Spike Lee tribute with a 75-piece orchestra. Blanchard took her under his wing, supporting her career and connecting her with musical luminaries such as Herbie Hancock.

Also in 2017, Lynell won the prestigious Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition Award, which included a recording opportunity on Concord Records. Her 2019 debut album, A Little Love, was a huge success, with a repertoire ranging from Chaka Kahn to Nina Simone to Irma Thomas. Her 2023 album Pillow Talk, a duet album with pianist Daniel Meinecke, released on her own label, has also been enthusiastically received. Lynell performs at jazz venues and festivals in New Orleans and across the globe, and is on the faculty at Loyola University New Orleans.
