About NOLHA

The New Orleans LGBT Hospitality Alliance (NOLHA) is a group convened under the leadership of the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation and New Orleans & Company. It was assembled in an effort to unite local LGBT community leaders and allies, grow attendance for local events, and increase LGBT visitation to New Orleans. Under the joint efforts of all key LGBT figures and allies, this group acts as a platform that helps educate and support one another – through which, each respective organization grows and strengthens.

Who is NOLHA?

A dedicated group of LGBT leaders, hospitality workers, community members, and many more awesome people that help foster LGBT rights in our city. If you would like to be a part of the group, please reach out to nolhagroup@gmail.com.

What NOLHA does?

1. Holds quarterly meetings for face-to-face group interaction and to increase tourism, especially among LGBT people
2. Hosts training sessions to groups and businesses on how to make their space more inclusive and welcoming, thus increasing business from LGBT visitors
3. Promotes New Orleans on a national scale as a welcoming and inclusive city
4. Started and now oversees the “Everyone’s Welcome Here” sticker program as a way to show LGBT and allied visitors just how welcoming we really are. Local community and hospitality leaders created a sticker program for businesses to display loud and proud. Any business can display the sticker simply by taking a pledge to be an inclusive and welcoming member of our city. These stickers will show our visitors safe spaces and businesses that are dedicated to supporting an inclusive environment. All hospitality focused businesses that display the sticker will be featured on the welcoming page.
