Jamil Sharif

Jamil Sharif is a native New Orleans trumpeter and vocalist who has performed around the world and recorded with a wide range of musical luminaries ranging from Wynton Marsalis to Dr. John to Marcia Ball. His flexibility extends to his repertoire, which ranges from traditional jazz to the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra as a featured soloist. The veteran musician has also appeared in numerous films, plays, and television productions as an on-screen performer – including “Ray” with Jamie Foxx, “Reading Rainbow” with LeVar Burton, and “NCIS: New Orleans” -  and behind the scenes as music coordinator, composer, and producer.
