ABOUT:

Housed in the former Andry/ Woodland Plantation House (1794), the 1811 Kid Ory Historic House shares the stories of the 1811 slave rebellion and the life of jazz pioneer Kid Ory. The rebellion began inside the house and Ory was born in the quarters in 1886.
