Come savor all things oyster at New Orleans Oyster Festival every June in Woldenberg Park! This free, two-day food festival applauds the French Quarter’s title as the “Oyster Capital of America” while educating the public about the benefits of eating from the Louisiana Gulf and raising funds for Louisiana coastal restoration.
Oyster Fest, which takes place this year on June 2nd and June 3rd, highlights unique dishes and flavors from various local restaurants. All day, fest goers can expect live music, cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts, and contests like the annual oyster shucking contest and oyster eating contest! Whether you like ‘em cooked, raw, fried, chargrilled, in a po-boy, in a salad, or some other way - you’ll find a delicious way to enjoy oysters at this annual celebration.
