October 11th-13th, head to Gentilly’s Pontchartrain Park for a weekend of music, food and family fun. Since 2007, the festival has supported the local Police Department, Fire Department, EMS, and other neighborhood organizations.
The family-friendly festival is free and open to the public!
Over 20 local food vendors will keep you fed all weekend, including Café Dauphine, Wingstop Café, B’s Soul-food Connection, Ms. Dee’s Catering Cuisine, Lenora’s Grill, The Praline Connection, and more. Drinks will also be available throughout the festival grounds.
Shop for jewelry, art, clothing and more at the various retail booths. With over 30 arts and crafts vendors and a kids village, the festival is fun for all ages. Other activities include horseback riding, rock climbing, storytelling and more.
With three stages of live music, the festival will be rocking all weekend. Check out the main stage for artists like Russel Batiste and Friends, Matt Dillon and the NOLA Resistance, Micheala Harrison, Casme', Bounce Royalty ft. Choppa, Cheeky Blakk and DJ Jubilee, Zydeco Mike and many more. The Gospel Stage includes various gospel bands, and the kids stage features various dance teams and local musicians.
The Kids Village
In addition to live music, your kids can have a day of fun with horse back riding, rock climbing, pottery making, crafts, story telling and more.
Entertainment include New Orleans East Satin Dolls, Precious Jewels, Lucky, the Young Voices of New Orleans by David Batiste, A'liyah, Imani Dance Academy, Young Indian Nation and many more.
Pontchartrain Park is full of fun and has been since 1955. Come here to use outdoor basketball courts, baseball fields, and tennis courts and more! There is fun for all with off- street parking and play equipment.
