Every October, head across the Mississippi River to Pontchartrain Park for a weekend of music, food and family fun. Since 2007, the festival has supported the local Police Department, Fire Department, EMS, and other neighborhood organizations.
Various local food and drink vendors sell festival favorites from snowballs and bread pudding to poboys and fried green tomatoes. Shop for jewelry, art, clothing and more at the various retail booths. With over 30 arts and crafts vendors and a kids village, the festival is fun for all ages. Other activities usually include horseback riding, rock climbing, storytelling and more.
With three stages of live music, the festival will be rocking all weekend. A main stage, gospel stage and kids stage will offer a variety of music genres from blues and jazz to pop and soul. Local dance teams and musicians are the highlight.
The festival is free and open to the public!
Pontchartrain Park is full of fun and has been since 1955. Come here to use outdoor basketball courts, baseball fields, and tennis courts and more! There is fun for all with off- street parking and play equipment.
