Taking place in major cities across the United States, Black Restaurant Week celebrates and highlights Black-owned restaurants, chefs, caterers and bartenders. Special Black Restaurant Week menus and pricing are curated by restaurants as they participate in this weeklong celebrations of African-American, Caribbean and African cuisine.
Black Restaurant Week Activities
In addition to special breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menus, Black Restaurant Week also hosts signature ticketed events in which all are invited and welcomed to join in.
NOSH: Culinary Showcase
The NOSH is a signature event hosted by Black Restaurant Week that showcases special dishes, desserts and drinks of local caterers, chefs and restauranteurs. This culinary showcase features live cooking demonstrations, performances, tastings and competitions.
Power of the Palate: Bartending Competition
What’s a delicious meal without a complimentary cocktail to pair it with? The Power of the Palate invites some of the best bartenders in the city to battle it in a craft cocktail competition.

Black Restaurant Week menu specials vary by location. Past menu items included $15 Oxtails and Crawfish Grits or Chicken + Waffles from Beaucoup Eats, a $25 three-course dinner from Heard Dat Kitchen, which included your choice of blackened fish or steak, fried chicken or fish, or crawfish and shrimp fries, plus many more restaurants and offers!
The signature events are ticketed and typically offer presale discounts.
