Whether you’ve got a go-to song that you always sing or you’re looking to shine (or maybe embarrass yourself) on stage in front of your friends and a room full of perfect strangers, karaoke is always a memorable experience. It’s the perfect activity for a bachelorette trip, or for an evening out with friends. Whether it’s karaoke nights or a full-blown karaoke bar, New Orleans has several great options for when you’re ready to sing your heart out.

Cat’s Meow

Cat’s Meow

If you’re in the French Quarter area, you can’t skip the Cat’s Meow. The colorful stage and lively crowd will surely make you feel like an absolute superstar—at least for the duration of your song. Check out their list of songs in advance and start practicing your choreography before you hit the stage. Afterwards, you can step outside and celebrate your debut performance on Bourbon Street.

Kajun’s Pub

Kajun’s Pub

Located in the Bywater, Kajun’s is known for its extensive collection of songs — and we mean extensive. With 50,000 songs to choose from, even the most selective singer can find a tune they love. If you prefer a neighborhood pub over the party vibe of the French Quarter, Kajun’s is the perfect spot for you to sing along and feel at home with the locals. You can get your karaoke on every night starting at 7 p.m.

Good Friends Bar

Good Friends Bar

Good Friends is one of the French Quarter’s premier LGBTQ+ bars, and as the name suggests, the warm, welcoming environment will have you feeling like one of the regulars. Karaoke happens every Tuesday from 8:30 p.m. until midnight, doesn’t require cover, and is emceed by drag queen hostess Terri S. Aqui. Mind the gargoyles on the bar when you grab your drink and belt out a tune for a bar full of your new good friends.

The Saint

The Saint Bar and Lounge

If it’s the grungy, dive-bar experience that you’re craving, look no further than The Saint. Every Tuesday, they host Tikioki, which means tiki drink specials all night and karaoke starting at 10 p.m. Once you drop the mic and bask in your round of applause, you can go to the back of the bar and play some arcade games. This is the perfect hideaway for you if you want to remain an undiscovered talent and enjoy a more chill night with friends.

Poseidon Oyster & Sushi Bar

Japan invented and perfected karaoke, and Poseidon brings a more traditional karaoke experience to New Orleans. You can get a private karaoke room and pair your favorite country ballad with a Cowboy Roll or show off your rap skills and enjoy a Puff Daddy Roll. The variety of dishes are the perfect fuel for entertaining all your fans.
