NEW ORLEANS (August 1, 2014) - The Crescent City Lights Youth Theater summer season (in partnership with NORDC) comes to a close with the production of Sleepover, a rollicking musical about (what else?) a girls' slumber party. Filled with the usual overnight shenanigans, Sleepover explores the girl-talk, late-night pranks, and pillow fights between Mia and nine of her closest friends. The party of course is girls-only, but who knows what the boys may be scheming?

What girl doesn't remember packing up a knapsack with her PJ's, some fuzzy slippers, and heading over to her best friend's house for a slumber party?

Now the Crescent City Lights Youth Theater presents a trip back to the good ol' nights as they present Sleepover, a charming show with music by Phillip Freedman and book and lyrics by James Beloff, that was commissioned by the TADA Youth Theater in New York City. "This is an earnest, sweet musical about slumber parties, a ritual that some grown-ups may recall with remarkable clarity." -- The New York Times

THE MUSICAL: In Sleepover, Mia is finally allowed to have her first sleepover party--for girls only. Too bad the girls don't know the boys are crashing the party. This delightful, hilarious musical has all the antics of a great slum-ber party. With great songs like "Sleepwalker" and "Pizza Boys Deliver," this show promises to be fun for the whole family! With a cast of 20 kids ages 9-15, this delightful production is a CCLYT favorite.
