Giving Back Never Tasted So Refreshing
Windsor Court Awards Proceeds from
Elysian Fields Forever Cocktail to St. Bernard Project

NEW ORLEANS - For the month of August, Windsor Court Hotel will donate 50 percent of the
proceeds from the sales of its new cocktail, Elysian Fields Forever, to the St. Bernard Project in honor of the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

To recognize the significant rebirth that New Orleans has seen in just 10 years since the storm, Windsor Court wants to thank an organization that has been instrumental in getting the city back on its feet. The St. Bernard Project was founded in 2006 to rebuild areas devastated by Hurricane Katrina and is now a nationally recognized leader in disaster resilience and recovery.

"For over 30 years, Windsor Court Hotel has depended on the city of New Orleans, and we are pleased to give something back as we reflect on this pivotal time in our city's history," said Windsor Court General Manager David Teich. "The work of the St. Bernard Project was invaluable to reviving the city of New Orleans and bringing its residents home, and we are proud to support their ongoing progress."

Windsor Court Mixologist Kent Westmoreland designed the Elysian Fields Forever cocktail to honor the New Orleans spirit. The name references the city's storied boulevard running from the Marigny neighborhood to Gentilly, an area severely damaged after the storm.

"The Elysian Fields Forever represents the resilience of New Orleans, withstanding a disaster and growing stronger because of the heroic and virtuous nature of its citizens," said Westmoreland.

Starting Aug. 1, the Elysian Fields Forever will be available in food and beverage outlets throughout Windsor Court Hotel, including the Cocktail Bar, Polo Club Lounge and poolside bar. The gin-based cocktail is made with lime juice and muddled blueberries and strawberries. The initiative will run through the end of August 2015.
