Busy Event Season Rolls On

  • The Zurich Classic of New Orleans will take place this week at TPC Louisiana for the only official two-man team event on the PGA TOUR.  A star studded group including Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark and more will participate in this year's event. 
  • Jazz Fest, consisting of two four-day weekends, kickoffs with Local's Thursday the first weekend and the Rolling Stones set to headline the second weekend on Thursday, May 2. The full schedule is available here.
  • Wednesday at the Square continues throughout April and May at Lafayette Square. The music lineup is available here

Audubon Zoo Ranked Number 7 Best Zoo

The Audubon Zoo has been ranked one of the ten best zoos in the United States in the USA Today 10Best list voted on by editors and readers. 

 

 

Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff

The second annual Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff, a music and entertainment event to celebrate the start of the 2024 college football season, will be held on August 31, the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, at the Caesars Superdome. With four top country music superstars on the bill, headlined by Eric Church, the Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff is sure to be one of the most-anticipated country music events of the year as it continues to establish itself as a must-see highlight of Labor Day weekend in New Orleans

Festivities for the Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff on August 31 will begin at Champions Square with NewOrleans.com Tailgate Town, a football-themed interactive experience presented by New Orleans & Company. Full details and event day timeline will be announced at a later date.

Home for Good

The third encampment was decommissioned last week with 27 more people now home for good. Since November, Home For Good New Orleans has housed 132 individuals that were living on the street. New Orleans & Company will continue to support and partner with organizations that we can advocate with for better transportation, public safety, infrastructure, workforce development, and more. 

French Quarter Fest Breaks It's Attendance Record Again

"French Quarter Festival 2024 was a banner year, welcoming an estimated 950,000 guests over four days, and a reflection of New Orleans at its best – showcasing beautiful weather, community, environmental stewardship, and celebration across generations and cultures," said Emily Madero, President and CEO of FQFI.
