WHY: The Historic New Orleans Collection celebrates its members with an all-day sale at The Shop at The Collection, Saturday, Dec. 10. Members will save 20 percent on in-store purchases (an increase from the 10-percent discount offered to members year-round).
The Shop at The Collection carries a unique array of merchandise, including numerous gift ideas for the holiday season. In addition to the exclusive items inspired by the institution's holdings and THNOC's original publications-such as "A Life in Jazz" by Danny Barker, which will be available December 1-The Shop at The Collection stocks local and national jewelry lines, limited-edition reproductions and an eclectic selection of books, stationery and gifts with Louisiana themes.
As an added bonus, THNOC members will be able to apply the special 20-percent discount to merchandise from the Mignon Faget trunk show, taking place from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. the same day.
THNOC members can also enjoy complimentary admission to the holiday tour of the institution's Williams Residence. Anyone wishing to register as a THNOC member may do so in advance or on-site. Yearly memberships begin at $35 for individuals and $65 for households.
