Dear Friends of New Orleans & Company,

As you know, our team is focused on enhancing and improving the image of our City through strategic public relations campaigns and engagement, with the goal of generating more positive news about New Orleans as a destination for leisure travelers, culture enthusiasts, business investment, as well as meetings, conventions and special events.  With that in mind,  I have exciting breaking news to share.

For the third year in a row, New Orleans & Company is sponsoring the TODAY Show with Hoda and Jenna for a live broadcast from New Orleans on Thursday, April 11, 2024 and a taped show to be aired on Friday, April 12, 2024 (all at 10:00 am Central on NBC). This coincides with this year’s French Quarter Festival and the show will be squarely placed in the French Quarter taking the opportunity to showcase one of our beloved annual festivals!

We are deeply grateful for our strong partnership with the TODAY team, a testament to the great working relationship we have established with their production team, this year extending to the French Quarter Festival staff. It also speaks to the power of partnership that we enjoy with so many across our hospitality community and media domestically and internationally. Once again, together with New Orleans & Company, Hoda and Jenna will spotlight the culture, cuisine and creativity of the Crescent City with two full-hour broadcasts, as well as special streaming content, robust social media coverage and live events.

Also as in years past, our partnership will be promoted across TODAY platforms with a comprehensive marketing strategy, will garner local and national press coverage, and will draw loyal fans to the heart of the French Quarter to experience the very best of TODAY.  A special thanks must also be given to the City of New Orleans and the Mayor’s Office, especially, Carroll Morton, Director of Film New Orleans, for her invaluable assistance and guidance, as well as Greg Lambousy and the staff of the New Orleans Jazz Museum.

We will share more details about the broadcast as they become available. Please note that while the New Orleans & Company team is working closely with TODAY, we do not have editorial control. TODAY will make the final decision on which stories and guests they will feature on the show. As their own promotion states, “Everybody Needs Today,” and we heartily agree.

There is no way we to fully convey what good news this is for our community. Thanks in advance for helping us spread the good news!  I will talk to you soon.
