WHO: Tall Ships® New Orleans 2018, in coordination with Whitney Bank, Premium Parking, The New Orleans Advocate and New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation and many other community partners

WHAT: Four tall ships will be docked along Woldenberg Riverfront Park at Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and two vessels in Lake Pontchartrain, sailing from Pontchartrain Landing as part of the New Orleans Tricentennial 2018 celebrations.  Events at Woldenberg Riverfront Park are free to the public. Tickets are required for sail aways.

WHEN/WHERE: Thursday, April 19­–22, 2018

Scheduled Tall Ships New Orleans events include the following:

Thursday, April 19: 
12 Noon – 5 PM; Approximate Arrival time into Downtown New Orleans 

Friday, April 20: 
10 AM – 12 Noon; Pre-arranged group admission
12 Noon – 5 PM; On-deck tours for the general public

Saturday, April 21:
10 AM – 12 Noon; Pre-arranged group admission
12 Noon – 5 PM; On-deck tours for the general public
6 PM – 10 PM; Gala fundraiser (see schedule)
9 PM;  Fireworks on the River

Sunday, April 22:
10 AM – 5 PM; On-deck tours for the general public

Monday, April 23: 
9 AM; Ships depart on their own schedule

HOW: Events at Woldenberg Riverfront Park are free and open to the public. VIP passes may be purchased at TallShipsNOLA2018.com. Sail aways must be booked in advance and are sold out.

Media passes for any day throughout the weekend may be obtained by emailing anna@gambelpr.com with name, media outlet, and desired date/time of visitation. Interviews may be arranged in advance or on site.

WHY: The goal of Tall Ships® New Orleans 2018 is to share the educational mission of each of the impressive visiting ships and the impact they have on our city. Together with the city’s NOLA Navy Week 2018, Tall Ships® New Orleans 2018 expects to bring record numbers of experiential tourists to the city and highlight New Orleans on the global stage.
