Kick off the first night of Tales of The Cocktail 2018 with “A Cajun Road Trip” at Sac-a-Lait restaurant, presented by Sazerac Company. On Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 6PM Food Network’s Cajun Aces Chefs Cody and Samantha Carroll, Chef de Cuisine Ian Mitchell, and Beverage Director Norton Christopher will host a five-course dinner pairing local cuisine and beautiful cocktails. The evening will feature signature cocktails made with Sazerac Rye, Peychaud’s Aperitivo, Buffalo Trace, Ojen, and Wheatley Vodka. Throughout the event, culinary & cocktail Historian Elizabeth Pearce will lead a thought-provoking conversation on the history of rye in New Orleans along with locally-popular Ojen, an anise flavored liqueur. Toups’ Meatery
Those looking to kickoff Tales of the Cocktail 2018 with a carnivorous feast paired with delicious bourbon cocktails are invited to Toups’ Meatery on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Presented by Woodford Reserve, the five-course dinner will highlight Chef Isaac Toups’ meat-centric dishes during two seating’s – 6PM and 9PM. Woodford Reserve’s Assistant Master Distiller, Elizabeth McCall will lead the conversation alongside Isaac, while amuse-bouche is passed around throughout the night. The thoughtfully-curated spirited dinner will be priced at $110 per person (excluding tax and gratuity), the menu follows:

Imbibers can look forward to a delightful spirited dinner at Toups South, presented by ROXOR Artisan Gin, Wednesday, July 18th at 7PM. The “Gin & Toups” progressive cocktail party of paired drinks and hors d'oeuvre’s melds the talents of two top-tier industry mavens: Toups South Chef/Owner Isaac Toups – James Beard “Best Chef: South” Finalist and Bravo TV’s “Top Chef” season 13 “Fan Favorite;” and Robert Del Grande – James Beard Awarded Chef and recipe curator for ROXOR Artisan Gin. Texas bartending legend, Luckie Campbell, along with the bar team at Toups South will be preparing the signature concoctions for the evening. For $75 (excluding tax and gratuity), the event showcases Toups’ southern cuisine – from seafood-driven appetizers to Cajun tapas – paired with signature ROXOR gin cocktails, along with a gratis visit to the Museum of the American Cocktail (part of the Southern Food & Beverage Museum where Toups South is located). Unlike traditional spirited dinners, the evening will feature six stations. Isaac will greet guests at the Oyster Bar with freshly shucked oysters on the half-shell and a French 75.
