NEW ORLEANS - (Aug. 4, 2016) - Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar is celebrating its favorite day of the year, National Oyster Day, by extending its popular happy hour to 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016. Happy hour specials include 50 cent raw oysters, as well as two-for-one frozen mojitos and frozen French 75's, half priced bottles of house wine and $3 draft beer. All are invited to come slurp delicious Louisiana oysters with great beverages and good company.

Throughout the day, oyster lovers will be greeted by the festive sounds of live piano music and can catch Louisiana's fastest oyster shucker, Jay Gallet, at the oyster bar. Gallet shucked his way to first place during the 2016 New Orleans Oyster Fest P&J Oyster Shucking Competition, shucking 19 Louisiana oysters in two minutes.
