NEW ORLEANS (June 8, 2015)-Southern Rep Theatre and Mid-City Theatre will host city-wide open auditions for actors, singers, and actor-musicians at Mid-City Theatre (3540 Toulouse Street, New Orleans) on Saturday, June 27th from 10AM to 3PM. Parking will be available on the street or in the Theatre parking lot.

 

The auditions will be attended by local theatre companies and independent producers. Please note that children under 18 will NOT be seen.

 

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

ALL actors, singers, and actor-musicians interested in participating should bring 20 copies of attached headshot and resume.

 

AEA (Actors' Equity Association) ACTORS should contact Aimée Hayes at ahayes@southernrep.com to schedule an appointment. AEA actors will be seen between 10-11AM.

 

NON-AEA ACTORS shouldprepare two contrasting monologues of one-minute each.

 

SINGERS should bring sheet music and prepare 16bars of a musical theatre standard.An accompanist will be present.
