NEW ORLEANS, LA Dancersand vintage enthusiasts from all over the world are preparing to visit NewOrleans this October, for a weekend featuring events, classes, and competitions in our very own Crescent City. The New Orleans Swing Dance Festival boasts the best of live local jazz including Shotgun Jazz Band, Ben Polcer's Swingin' Seven and Meschiya Lake & the Little Big Horns.

The festival also offers social dancing, outdoor concerts, after parties, dance performances and classes for all ages and levels, as well as the year's most prestigious, most anticipated jazz & swing dance battle The Ultimate Lindy Hop SHOWDOWN. Returning as Mistress of Ceremonies, Marla Dixon is sure to keep the crowds fired up all weekend.

The New Orleans Swing Dance Festival is produced by world class swing dancer and teacher Amy Johnson whom the Gambit's 2013 40 Under 40 sites as a major player in reestablishing New Orleans as a destination for swing and jazz dancing the festival continues to grow and delight dancers and musicians alike.
