Bar Frances has just introduced two new reasons to visit Freret Street's modern French-American eatery and wine bar: Oyster Thursdays and August Rosé Specials. 

Beginning Thursday, August 18th, Bar Frances will launch Oyster Thursdays featuring $1.50 oysters and half-off all bottles of sparkling wines and Champagne from 4PM - Close.  Guests can mingle over mollusks, which will rotate weekly, while sipping sparkling wines and Champagnes starting at only $20 per bottle.  Oyster Thursdays will be ongoing. 

In addition, New Orleanians can beat the heat at Bar Frances with half-off all bottles of rosé wines available now through Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Available Sunday - Thursday, 4PM until close, over a half dozen bottles of Euro-centric rosé wines are on offer at remarkably affordable prices starting at only $17 per bottle.  Guests can accompany these bottles with a variety of charcuterie selections and dishes from Executive Chef Brendan Cahill including duck rillettes; country terrine; and chicken liver mousse on grilled country bread with a shallot aigre-doux. Seafood lovers can opt for the perfect pairing such as grilled gulf fish with cherry tomatoes, basil pesto and grilled lemon.

Bar Frances is located at 4525 Freret Street in New Orleans. Lunch is served Monday - Friday, 11AM - 3PM; Dinner is served Monday through Thursday 5PM - 10PM; Friday and Saturday 5PM - 11PM and Sunday 5PM - 9PM.  Saturday and Sunday Brunch is available from 9AM - 3PM.  Happy Hour is served 7 days a week from 4PM - 6PM.
