New Orleans, LA – Bargain hunters, this one’s for you! On Saturday, April 20, Buffalo Exchange is hosting its annual Earth Day $1 Day Sale at all locations except outlets. All proceeds will go to the Humane Society of the United States’ Animal Rescue Team, which rescues thousands of animals a year from natural disasters and abusive conditions. Shopping secondhand bargains for a super cause? Not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning before Earth Day. The sale is cash only and the selection of $1 items is limited and does go quickly, so shoppers are advised to arrive early with dollar bills in hand.

“We’re glad to be teaming up with the Humane Society of the United States again for our $1 sale,” says Buffalo Exchange Founder Kerstin Block. “Animals are an important part of our communities and they need our help.”

Since the Earth Day $1 Day Sale started in 1997, it has been the resale store’s most popular event of the year. And for good reason. Shopping resale is a great way to celebrate Earth Day. Not only will you feel good about giving back to animals in need, but you'll feel even better recycling clothing while spending just a few dollars on sweet vintage wares and spring wardrobe staples. Now in its 23rd year, the sale has raised over $665,274 for a variety of charities and environmental non-profits. The sale is one day only, so head over to any Buffalo Exchange location bright and early on Saturday, April 20.

A pioneer in resale fashion, Buffalo Exchange is a sustainable business that works to protect the environment by reusing and recycling clothing. Customers buy, sell, and trade clothing, giving it a second life and reducing clothing pollution. Since its beginning in 1974, this family-operated company has grown to 49 stores in 19 states. More information about the company can be found on its website, as well as FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
