NEW ORLEANS, LA - Calling all vintage lovers! The Second Annual New Orleans Vintage Fashion & Lifestyle Expo, celebrating the fashions, music and dances of the first half of the twentieth century, is taking place Thursday, October 2nd at the Old US Mint in the French Quarter.

With men's and women's vintage and vintage-inspired fashion shows, an entire vintage  shopping hall (with clothing, hats, jewelry, accessories and collectibles), jazz dance performances, vintage cars, cigarette girls, free-to-enter Foxtrot Centennial Dance Contest, free tiki cocktail hour with the Sailor Jerry girls, cupcakes, amazing swing dancers, and live music all night with the celebrated Shotgun Jazz Band to swing your socks off, this is one night not to miss!

Get in the swing of things with a Vintage Lovers' Bike Ride starting at 6pm underneath the Louis Armstrong Park arch, where you'll cruise around for a mellow, hour long tour of the area amidst a crowd of well-dressed bicyclists, finishing up at the Old US Mint right on time for the night's festivities.

Starting at 7pm, guests will pose for photographs in front of war era cars, peruse local vintage vendors' booths, sip on free cocktails until 8pm, and enjoy fashion shows and demonstrations on vintage beauty and etiquette. So put on your favorite old duds or vintage-inspired threads, buy some if you don't have 'em, meet a vibrant and fun-filled scene, dance all night, shop ‘til you drop.

The only vintage expo serving the South is brought to you by the duo behind the NOLA Chorus Girls and The Chorus Girl Project. This event kicks off The New Orleans Swing Dance Festival and Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown (lindyshowdown.net), which brings hundreds of swing dancers to New Orleans. The Expo was created to showcase the vibrancy and enthusiasm for vintage fashions and provide a meeting place for vintage lovers, not just in New Orleans, but throughout the South.

Admission: $20 in advance, $25 at the door. An early ticket ensures entrance to one fashion show. $50 VIP tickets with front row seats to ALL fashion shows and more.
