(New Orleans, LA)- The Regional Transit Authority (RTA) in New Orleans and Transdev will stuff a bus with food donations for delivery to Second Harvest Food Bank, in support of their mission to end hunger for our community this Holiday Season. The event will take place Tuesday, November 15, 2015 at 11:30 AM at RTA Headquarters, 2817 Canal St. in the bus barn.

Transdev/RTA along with Xavier University, sponsors, labor unions and the RTA Board of Commissioners collectively donated food items to fill a 40-foot RTA bus with non-perishable items to give to the children, families and elderly individuals who have the need for emergency food assistance.

The Warren Easton High School Band will perform while employees and volunteers load donated items onto the bus. Vice President Justin T. Augustine, III along with RTA Commissioners will officially present the "stuffed" bus to Second Harvest's Corporate Foundations and Relations Manager Ms. Kimberly Krupa. The "stuffed" bus will depart from RTA headed for the Second Harvest warehouse at approximately 12:00 PM.

The RTA and Transdev Services, Inc. are committed to public service, and fully endeavor to uplift the quality of life for our New Orleans community. For more information about the RTA visit us online at www.norta.com.
