(New Orleans, LA)- On Friday, January 20 from now until further notice, the Regional Transit Authority in New Orleans must cut bus lines impacted by the closure of the Crescent City Connection bridge. No busses are allowed to cross the river.
During this time period, the Algiers Point/Canal St. Ferry will replace service to and from the Westbank of New Orleans. Busses will transfer passengers to the Canal St. and Algiers Point Ferry Terminals, at which point passengers can show their transfer ticket to continue onto the Ferry.
Riders crossing the river in either direction are encouraged to be patient, plan extra time for their journey and ask our tireless RTA Operators or nearest uniformed RTA Supervisors for their best advice on how to travel to their final destination using public transit.
