Rhythms of the South, Inc. is a marketing partnership formed by the Convention & Visitor Bureaus in Atlanta, Nashville and New Orleans to promote travel from international destinations to the Southern United States. The Southern Marketplace, first held in 2002, is designed to bring qualified tour operators and journalists from Delta Air Lines’ international gateway cities to meet one-on-one with Southern suppliers, thereby creating more tourism business from mature and emerging markets.

Tourism is New Orleans’ most important industry and key international travel professionals and journalists will be treated to the city’s authentic culture and hospitality during Rhythms of the South. This year will include more than 100 tour operators and journalists from 25 countries meeting with tourism suppliers from 12 Southern states. The last Rhythms of the South to be held in New Orleans was in 2004.
