Life in the Big Easy
Molly Lehmuller (Convention Sales) is going on a week-long trip to Costa Rica in the beginning of March, where she will hike volcanoes, snorkel, and get super tan. On a side note, Molly has also picked up a new hobby. She is making greeting cards out of antique postcards dating from the 1930s-1970s, with emphasis in European travel, Renaissance and Romantic art, and religious monuments. Please contact Molly for your next greeting card!
Emily Smith (Convention Sales) has been chosen as one of 25 young professionals for March of Dimes’ Spotlight on Success.
Billie Jo Pigniolo's (Convention Sales) daughter, Peyton Pigniolo, committed to play ball at Southeastern. She plans to study Kinesiology and sports science. She is currently a senior at John Curtis Christian School. Softball season is about to begin. This will be the toughest year yet since 6 starting seniors graduated last year, including the starting pitcher. As the only senior and pitcher on the team this year, Peyton is determined to pick up where the team left off last year and to help lead her team to their 4th consecutive state championship. Good luck Lady Patriots!
Billie Jo also serves and volunteers for the Light of Hope Ministry which is in fact a light of hope for so many homeless in the city of New Orleans. Every Saturday, since June 2013, those serving with Light of Hope hit the streets of New Orleans providing lunches, clothing, prayer and support to so many. The people that they minister to may be homeless but they have some of the biggest hearts and they are so easy to love. Mostly, they are down on their luck and working hard to get back on their feet, but it is a hard cycle to break. It is amazing to see the transformation taking place in their lives. Each Saturday, they feed anywhere from 40-100 of their homeless friends with lunches they prepare themselves. Clothing and monetary donations are accepted too.
Please contact Billie Jo Pigniolo at ext. 5064 if you are interested in volunteering one Saturday or just want to know more about the ministry and how you may help. Please go to our Facebook page, Light of Hope Ministry and “LIKE” it. Recently, Rose Rosenberger (Light of Hope Co-Founder) said that every week she is completely in awe as how God’s presences is evident when we hit the streets of New Orleans. Families are coming together and being the hands, feet and voice of Jesus to many who need to know that God has not abandoned them.
