Holiday Breakfast – December 4, 2015

In December, we hosted more than 100 members at a Holiday Breakfast. We held the event to say thank you to our members for their support all year and to wish them a happy holiday season. 12 Seasons Catering provided a fantastic buffet breakfast and we gave each member a CVB logoed umbrella as thank you gift.  We also collected Teddy Bears for Arnaud’s Second Annual Teddy Bear Program, where more than 120 Teddy Bears were collected.

Holiday Party – December 10, 2015

Once again, we partnered with the LA Restaurant Association, Greater New Orleans Chapter and the Greater N.O. Hotel and Lodging Association to host the Hospitality Industry Holiday Party. We also partnered with Limousine Livery to offer complimentary shuttle service to Messina’s from the New Orleans Marriott. More than 550 people attended and enjoyed this event.

The NOCVB joined the Young Leadership Council in promoting their “Power Ties” career awareness campaign through a Career Day and Job Site Visit.  John Tiano participated in Career Day, at an off -campus site where mock "potential employers" met with students to test their interview skills and conducted workshops on dining etiquette, office skills and writing thank you notes.  The Job Site Visit event prompted students to visit a company or organization that matched one of their top five career interests. They learned about the company, different career paths and the work environment. They shared lunch with their hosts to further their understanding of this particular industry.
