Convention Sales & Services
Danielle Ackerman joined our Convention Sales team in June as a Sales Assistant. Danielle is currently pursuing an Associate Degree from Delgado Community College in Business, Sales and Marketing. Her career in the hospitality industry started back in 2012 working at Mardi Gras World, then the St. James Hotel and the Westin New Orleans in 2013 as a front desk agent, where she worked alongside the General Manager, David Bilbe.
Lindsey Hinkle also joined our Convention Sales team in June as a Sales Assistant. Lindsey graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies in Christian Education from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Following that, she pursued a Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of New Orleans, graduating in 2010. Lindsey started her career in hospitality in 2011 at the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Convention Center. Starting off as a front desk agent, then administrative assistant to the GM, followed by Manager of Department/front desk manager, she finished up her career there as the reservations manager.
Tara Lusignan joined our Convention Sales team in June as a Sales Assistant. Tara started her education goals back in 1999, studying in the HRT program at the University of New Orleans (UNO). From there she went onto to get a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and minor in Business. Recently she began her work towards a Masters in Hospitality and Tourism at UNO. Tara came to us from the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel where she worked as a sales assistant.
Amanda Tinney has been promoted to the position of Meetings and Special Events Manager for the Convention Sales department.
Emily Smith has been promoted to the position of Services Manager for the Convention Services team.
Information Technologies
Amos Orr joined us in the Information Technology department as our new Interactive Content Manager. Having graduated from Grace College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing & Business Administration, Amos joined the Lake Charles/Southwest Convention & Visitors Bureau in 2012. Prior to that, Amos was Owner and Social Media/Web Advisor for F@Bridge, LLC in Lake Charles.
External Affairs
Tyffani Lauve joined us as a new Administrative Assistant in the External Affairs department. Tyffani graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration with a concentration in Convention & Event Management. She has an extensive customer service history starting in 2010 as a customer service manager with Rouses and joining the Roosevelt New Orleans in 2013 as a guest service agent.

Jackie Siegmund joined us as an Intern in the Tourism department.
Public Relations
Maria Kowitz joined us as an Intern in the PR department.
