Employee Rewards Program
Do you know about the Employee Rewards Program? This program was established a few years ago in the External Affairs department and here's how it works; if a CVB employee provides External Affairs with a lead for a new member and that company joins then that employee is eligible to receive a $10 gift card. So send your leads and a $10 gift card may be in your future.

Uniglobe Travel
Uniglobe Travel visited New Orleans June 4-7 with a group of 100 travel agents for a regional meeting. The New Orleans CVB assisted the group in receiving discounts for the agents to utilize during their free time, exhibited at their trade show and welcomed the group to New Orleans during their opening session.

Let's Turn the Page - http://letsturnthepage.com/
Launched in January of this year, the Let's Turn the Page campaign aims to make New Orleans the "most literate city in America by 2018." Focusing on raising awareness of the lack of resources and programming in four areas - early childhood, school success, digital literacy and adult literacy - the campaign is championed by Irvin Mayfield, Eric Gordon and Morris Bart, to name a few as well as supported by the New Orleans Public Library Foundation, the New Orleans Public Library, the Friends of the Public Libraries, the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and library systems from the southeast Louisiana system.

The We're Jazzed You're Here program is a customer recognition program for conventions that is designed to create a presence for the group in the city upon arrival that welcomes them uniquely to New Orleans, connects them with our partners, and demonstrates our appreciation of their business. Through this campaign, we promote our client's convention throughout the city, the airport and the Convention Center in signage, hosting, and live elements of entertainment. We are looking to our CVB team for your ideas and input in renaming this program with a vibrant new slogan that reflects the cultural and economic resurgence the city is undergoing. More to come.
