People United for Armstrong Park will be hosting a "Halloween Costume Ball" to benefit the restoration of Perseverance Hall. All funds collected from this event will be used to purchase material and labor to restore Lights in Armstrong Park and/or restore Perseverance Hall's 2nd floor. Currently the 2nd floor is un-open and has been closed since Katrina.
Join us to help us raise funds to restore one of the oldest Masonic Lodges in America and/or restore missing lights in the park. The Halloween Costume Ball will be immediately after the Jazz in the Park concert. Rebirth Brass Band will lead a second line to the Jazz Complex and will be the featured performer. DJ Quickie Mart will then direct the dance party, spinning until midnight.
When: October 30th, 2014
Where: National Jazz Complex Compound (located in Armstrong Park)
Time: 8:00 to 12:00 right after Jazz in the Park
Price: $5 suggested donation
