NOLAxNOLA will run at dozens of New Orleans music venues from September 26 through October 6
The 4th annual NOLAxNOLA is taking place September 26 through October 6 at over 50 music venues throughout New Orleans. NOLAxNOLA organizers and New Orleans & Company are pleased to announce an extended lineup of events outside of traditional concerts to connect with locals and make the series a must visit for music enthusiasts.
NOLAxNOLA, founded in 2021, has continued to evolve through the years and 2024 is no different. Building on the success of previous years, including many sold-out performances, the festival will once again promote New Orleans’ deep inventory of music options, live comedy and concerts, and showcase the many talented musicians that comprise the musical landscape of the city within our historic music venues.
This year, NOLAxNOLA features more than 300 musical performances, comedy and burlesque shows over 11 days. Some of the new events include a NOLAxNO Cover, Music Month Kick-Off Party, and all star Tributes to Allen Toussaint and Stevie Wonder. A full description of each event with the date, location and description is below.
The entire month of October has been designated as Music Month in New Orleans. Music Month in New Orleans is a vibrant, month-long celebration held each October, showcasing the city's rich musical heritage and diverse sounds. From jazz to blues, funk to zydeco, New Orleans pulses with live performances, parades, and street festivals throughout the month.
“In New Orleans, music underlies our entire cultural landscape in deep and meaningful ways, every day of the year,” said Walt Leger III President and CEO of New Orleans & Company. “The addition of these new events gives an opportunity for our culture bearers and our music venues and clubs to connect with locals and visitors in intimate settings and showcase their talents while having a great time. There is no place else like New Orleans and the uniqueness of our music clubs and venues can't be matched anywhere. NOLAxNOLA is an amazing platform for our artists and venues to shine.”
"NOLAxNOLA was created as a response to festival cancellations to encourage people to keep their flights and reservations to the city and enjoy our culture on a smaller scale. Now, in its fourth year, we have been able to evolve the celebration and create more community centric events like NOLAxNOLA No Cover on Frenchmen and the Music Month Kickoff Party.” said Sig Greenebaum, Founder and CEO of Sigfest Events. “We are unofficially trying to present every genre, every night, in every neighborhood. We hope locals and visitors will take the opportunity to participate in New Orleans live music.”
NOLAxNOLA partners include New Orleans & Company, New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund, WWOZ, Louisiana Hot Sauce, Relix and Headcount.org.
